The 4th Annual 2009 BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta was hosted by Mike Epps and aired last night on BET @ 8:00 pm. The show was an outstanding 2 hours with surprise guests and signature dance by Kid N' Play, several honorees, winners for every category, and slamming performances from Jay-Z and Jeezy, Soulja Boy, Mario and Gucci, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, to Goodie Mob. Ice Cube was recognized for his hard work and gangsta persona over the years receiving the "I AM HIP HOP" award; amongst others recognized were Missy Elliott, chorographer Fatima Robinson, and Tameka "Tiny" Cottle accepted both T.I.'s awards on behalf of him and read an acceptance letter from T.I. The night was full of energy and that Hip Hop flavor from the red carpet inside the Atlanta Civic Center. There is no doubt that Hip Hop is still alive!!!
